Time files

Time flies. It has nothing to do with having fun. But the perspective is interesting. Time doesn't go any faster but as you get older, it does SEEM to move faster. Mostly because we are more aware of it now.

When you are on the first half of your life, you aren't concerned with anything. It's all about the moment you are in. You get older and you think about the past. Supposedly, it all just "seems like yesterday". No offense but it doesn't seem like it to me.

High school or college...those days of old...they seem like a lifetime ago to me. Why? Well because I stop and consider everything that has happened between that point in time and now. The reason is to give myself the perspective. I don't think it's helpful to reward the one moment without acknowledging the whole of the past.

The reason is the future will seem like it's going to be short. If I assume 20 years pass in a blink of an eye, then I am going to worry about the future going by just as quick. I'd rather reward each day as it comes and goes. I do try that now. Life has been a challenge recently so I think it's more important to appreciate everything, big and small. That's just me.
